We Moved!

Here is the new place we are calling "home".  I'm enamored with the brick exterior, the timeless classic pillars (which are around the corner on the front) and the simple beauty of this house.   And of course, the screened in porch!  Living in Minnesota where our state bird is the mosquito, screened in porches are a must for delightful outdoor dining in the the summer months.  We have enjoyed many outdoor meals in it already, rain or shine.  Score!

I'm looking forward to sharing the transformations we are making to the inside and outside.  Huz just got a new blade for his chainsaw so watch for flying branches!  What home improvement projects are you working on this summer?  I'd love to hear about them!  I'm tackling wall paper removal next.  Before and after pictures are coming soon.

  1. Hi Ahmelie--Congrats on the move. We moved this March and the yard we bought covered by 4 feet of snow is now a jungle. Taming the jungle is our project. Does you husband and chainsaw blade rent out?

  2. Congratulations! I love brick homes, but you don't find many in California. We just bought a new home as well, and have about a month before we move in. We are currently sanding and painting, and today we have to go get new appliances and shop for carpet. I can't wait to see your before and after pictures!

  3. LOL "Minnesota where our state bird is the mosquito". That's fantastic. So jealous of the screened in porch.

  4. I'm excited to see your before and after photos. You always come up with great ideas!
We practically live in our screened in porch...unless the boss sets up shop out there first. ;)
    Enjoy!

  6. @Deirdre Yes I'll send Jeff over with the chainsaw, but don't say I didn't warn you, once he gets going he can get a little carried away. :)
