Cabin Update: Adding Curb Appeal

Before

After

We've gone from short, dark and unnoticeable to springy, warm and inviting. The landscaping has put the finishing touches on our road side view of the cabin. We added  hostas,  edging and woodchips to complete the curbside makeover.   We also transplanted a few miscellaneous plants around the corner to give the road side a more unified look.  The hostas just popped little purple blossoms that are so cute with the yellow walls.  Hostas are also maintenance free--yippee skippee for us!  We added a terra cotta star to the front which provides a point of reference when giving directions to guests and also makes the cabin feel homey.  Money saving tip: we split the perennials that were already on the property so we didn't have to purchase any plants.  I have a ton of lillies on the lake side so if anyone needs some just let me know, we'd be happy to share.  We are officially ready to hit the water and kick back and enjoy the great outdoors!

Stay tuned for more makeovers inside the cabin--woot woot!
